BILL SCANNELL, President, Global Sales and Customer Operations

Bill Scannell is President, Global Sales and Customer Operations at EMC Corporation. With revenues of $21.7 billion in 2012 and 60,000 people worldwide, EMC is a global leader in enabling businesses and service providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service. Fundamental to this transformation is cloud computing. Through innovative products and services, EMC accelerates the journey to cloud computing, helping IT departments to store, manage, protect and analyze their most valuable asset—information—in a more agile, trusted and cost-efficient way.

Scannell was appointed President of Global Sales and Customer Operations in July 2012 after overseeing customer operations in the Americas and EMEA. He is responsible for driving EMC's global growth and continued market leadership by delivering and supporting the full range of EMC products, services and solutions to organizations in established and new markets around the world. He is also responsible for enhancing global partner and channel relationships and ensuring that EMC's customer facing sales and service professionals understand and communicate the unique value that EMC brings to customers and business partners. As part of this mission, he focuses on driving coordination and teamwork among EMC's business unit sales forces. He is also charged with building and maintaining relationships with EMC's largest global accounts, global alliance partners, and global channel partners.

Scannell has risen steadily through the management ranks of EMC since he joined the company in 1986. He began his career as an EMC sales representative and became country manager of Canada in 1988. Shortly thereafter, his theater responsibilities expanded to include the U.S. and Latin America. In 1999, he moved to London to oversee EMC's business across all of Europe, Middle East and Africa. He then managed Worldwide Sales in 2001 and 2002 before being appointed Executive Vice President in 2007. Under Scannell's leadership, EMC's customer facing professionals have earned distinction as one of the most successful and customer-focused organizations in any industry, solidifying EMC's position as a world leader in information technology.

Scannell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Northeastern University and is based at EMC's corporate headquarters in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.


DAVID WEBSTER, President, Asia Pacific & Japan, Senior Vice President, EMC Corporation

David Webster is President, EMC Asia Pacific and Japan, a post he has held since July 2012. With revenues of $21.7 billion in 2012 and 60,000 people worldwide, EMC is a global leader in enabling businesses and service providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service. Fundamental to this transformation is cloud computing. Through innovative products and services, EMC accelerates the journey to cloud computing, helping IT departments to store, manage, protect and analyze their most valuable asset — information — in a more agile, trusted, and cost-efficient way.

Webster is responsible for extending and further driving EMC's growth and continued leadership in APJ by delivering and supporting the full range of EMC's products, services and solutions in established and new markets; enhancing partner and channel relationships as well as furthering product development throughout the region. In 2011, EMC, with the help of its partners, generated more than $2.6 billion in revenue from Asia Pacific and Japan operations and now employs more than 10,000 information management and storage professionals in the region to help customers design, implement and realize the benefits of IT transformation, cloud computing, big data and trusted IT strategies. Reporting to Bill Scannell, EMC President of Global Sales and Customer Operations, Webster has more than 25 years of information technology experience across the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

Webster joined EMC in August 2005 as President, EMC Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), and in October 2010, assumed an expanded executive leadership position as President, EMC South East Asia (SEA) while continuing to lead the EMC business in ANZ. In his dual role, Webster achieved solid and strategic growth as well as oversaw the business and operational performance of both geographies under his common executive leadership. In addition to driving significant market share gains, tripling EMC's business and expanding the channel partner ecosystem for ANZ and SEA, Webster also led EMC's entry into the managed services business in ANZ.

Before EMC, Webster was Vice President and Managing Director at PeopleSoft Inc. in ANZ, leading the organization through significant business growth; acquisition, merger and integration activities as well as continuous organizational development and change. Prior to his tenure at PeopleSoft, Webster spent 12 years at Silicon Graphics Computer Systems in several senior management positions, of which the last four was spent as regional Managing Director for the SEA region.


Mike Koehler

MIKE KOEHLER, Senior Vice President, EMC Global Services

Mike Koehler is Senior Vice President, EMC Global Services. With revenues of $21.7 billion in 2012 and 60,000 people worldwide, EMC is a global leader in enabling businesses and service providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service. Fundamental to this transformation is cloud computing. Through innovative products and services, EMC accelerates the journey to cloud computing, helping IT departments to store, manage, protect and analyze their most valuable asset — information — in a more agile, trusted, and cost-efficient way.

Koehler manages EMC Global Services' broad portfolio of professional services, practices and delivery, as well as go-to-market execution, ensuring customers derive maximum benefit from their investments in EMC technology. As the leader of EMC's professional services team, Koehler is responsible for supporting EMC's continued leadership role in Cloud, Big Data, and Trusted IT by enabling its customers and partners on their IT transformation journey. He reports to Howard Elias, President and Chief Operating Officer, EMC Information Infrastructure and Cloud Services.

Before joining EMC in 2011, he was Senior Vice President for HP, where he was responsible for market expansion and improving revenue and profit throughout Canada, Latin America, and the U.S. Prior to HP, he served as a Executive Vice President of EDS, where he managed information technology outsourcing and business process outsourcing services across all geographic theaters, as well as for select global anchor accounts, and was instrumental in developing a go-to-market delivery model for global services across all geographies and industries. Following the acquisition of EDS by HP, he played a key role in the integration of the company's ITO and BPO businesses into the HP framework. He also served as COO and SVP of EDS's Europe Middle East and Africa business unit. Koehler also worked with the Feld Group and IBM Consulting.

He serves as a Director on the Board of Coresite (COR), chairing the Compensation Committee, and is a member of the Audit Committee. He also mentors and guides startup and emerging companies. He holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University.

Bill Scannell
President, Global Sales and Customer Operations

Bill Scannell is President, Global Sales and Customer Operations at EMC Corporation. With revenues of $21.7 billion in 2012 and 60,000 people worldwide, EMC is a global leader in enabling businesses and service providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service. Fundamental to this transformation is cloud computing. Scannell was appointed President of Global Sales and Customer Operations in July 2012 after overseeing customer operations in the Americas and EMEA. He is responsible for driving EMC's global growth and continued market leadership by delivering and supporting the full range of EMC products, services and solutions to organizations in established and new markets around the world. He is also responsible for enhancing global partner and channel relationships and ensuring that EMC's customer facing sales and service professionals understand and communicate the unique value that EMC brings to customers and business partners. Shortly thereafter, his theater responsibilities expanded to include the U.S. and Latin America. In 1999, he moved to London to oversee EMC's business across all of Europe, Middle East and Africa. He then managed Worldwide Sales in 2001 and 2002 before being appointed Executive Vice President in 2007. Under Scannell's leadership, EMC's customer facing professionals have earned distinction as one of the most successful and customer-focused organizations in any industry, solidifying EMC's position as a world leader in information technology.

Scannell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Northeastern University and is based at EMC's corporate headquarters in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

David Webster
President, Asia Pacific & Japan, Senior Vice President, EMC Corporation

David Webster is President, EMC Asia Pacific and Japan, a post he has held since July 2012. Mike Koehler

Mike Koehler is Senior Vice President, EMC Global Services. Koehler manages EMC Global Services' broad portfolio of professional services, practices and delivery, as well as go-to-market execution, ensuring customers derive maximum benefit from their investments in EMC technology. As the leader of EMC's professional services team, Koehler is responsible for supporting EMC's continued leadership role in Cloud, Big Data, and Trusted IT by enabling its customers and partners on their IT transformation journey. Before joining EMC in 2011, he was Senior Vice President for HP, where he was responsible for market expansion and improving revenue and profit throughout Canada, Latin America, and the U.S. Prior to HP, he served as a Executive Vice President of EDS, where he managed information technology outsourcing and business process outsourcing services across all geographic theaters, as well as for select global anchor accounts, and was instrumental in developing a go-to-market delivery model for global services across all geographies and industries. Following the acquisition of EDS by HP, he played a key role in the integration of the company's ITO and BPO businesses into the HP framework. He also served as COO and SVP of EDS's Europe Middle East and Africa business unit. Koehler also worked with the Feld Group and IBM Consulting.

Sarv Saravanan
Corporate Senior Vice President, EMC Corporation

Sarv Saravanan is the Corporate Senior Vice President & General Manager of EMC's Centers of Excellence in India and Egypt.

With over 20 years experience in the IT industry, Sarv, currently leads EMC's research and development, global services and business support operations in India & Egypt. The COEs are central to EMC’s globalization goals and Sarv is responsible for scaling and evolving the COEs. His mandate is to develop the COEs as world-class R&D center, create market connections for EMC to be more relevant with its products in the high growth markets, incubate global service offerings and bring the synergy between the two to maximize the benefits for EMC's customers worldwide. He is also responsible for EMC's outsourcing to Indian SI partners.

Sarv joined EMC from Microsoft India. As Managing Director of Microsoft Global Services Center India Pvt. Ltd (MGSI, the global delivery organization of Microsoft Services), he was responsible for setting up and growing MGSI to drive global delivery of Microsoft owned consulting and direct services offerings to its customers. MGSI became a significant part of Microsoft Services globally in his time. Sarv was with Microsoft for nearly 10 years where he played several key technical and business leadership roles in various aspects of the business – India Sales, Marketing & Services and Global Services Business Development & Delivery.

Earlier in his career, he held roles in academia, IT product development and Banking IT. Sarv has a Masters in Computer Sciences and his interests include traveling, golf and community activities.

Vikas Arora
Senior Director, Global Services (India & SAARC), EMC Corporation

Vikas Arora has over 23 years of experience in the IT Industry. Vikas recently moved to EMC where he currently leads the India and SAARC Geography for Global Services. Accountable for 'all things services', Vikas is responsible for leading EMC's services engagement with customers, partners and amplifying the impact of EMC's comprehensive Services portfolio (Consulting, IT Implementation, Managed Services, Training & Certification & Support) through greater customer intimacy.

Prior to EMC, Vikas worked with Microsoft India as Group Director – Operator Channel since 2010, leading alliances with Telecom Operators, Phone hardware manufacturers and Datacenter services providers to accomplish share gain for Microsoft in Phone, TV and Windows devices, and drive Consumer and Business Cloud services with them. Earlier, since 2005, Vikas lead the Enterprise Services (Microsoft Consulting and Premier Support Services) business in India. During his more than twelve years at Microsoft, he was twice winner (2002 & 2008) of the prestigious Circle of Excellence Award.

Vikas began his career as software developer and systems analyst with Tata Consultancy Services in 1989, and worked on several projects across India and UK. He was also among the founding members for the software consulting, distribution and training start-up, Software Technology Group (STG) between 1994 and 1999.

Vikas holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from BIT, Mesra and is currently based in Gurgaon, where he lives with his family. His hobbies include Reading, movies and dramatics.

Tarun Sareen
Head, India IT Center of Excellence and APJC Theater Lead IT

Tarun Sareen leads the Global Delivery Program of EMC and runs the EMC IT Center of Excellence, Bangalore. Tarun is responsible for building the IT Globalization Strategy and Processes required for global expansion. He heads the APJC Theater Leader for IT as well.

Tarun’s key areas of focus are driving and maturing end-to-end IT solutions and services development, and delivery and infrastructure management services in order to run IT as a Business and delivering IT as a Service (ITaaS). Furthermore, he and his team are focused on architecting for the future by undertaking the journey to Cloud, big data, and trust. He has played a critical role in building a quality-driven culture and enhancing the EMC customer experience, globally. Tarun also engages with EMC key IT partners.

His experience includes building high-performance global IT centers, developing global leaders, and development and support of IT solutions and services for diverse businesses. Tarun is passionate about dealing with customers and developing a world-class IT organization. Active on customer and industry forums, Tarun participates in the Cloud Editorial Board (CIOL) and represents EMC in NASSCOM Global In-house Centers Forum.

Prior to joining EMC, Tarun led middleware and e-delivery channels for emerging markets at Barclays. He was responsible for launching Internet Banking and Mobile Banking for Barclays’ commercial and retail banking customers across all international and emerging markets. Before Barclays, Tarun was a part of Microsoft IT India leadership team, where he started and managed multiple business units and COEs in India, which were responsible for delivering IT solutions for Microsoft’s various business groups.

Prior to Microsoft, Tarun established the India IT Center for General Electric Aircraft Engines delivering to seven business units/COEs. He also led six sigma and compliance. Sunil Brid
Director, Sales, Isilon, India & SAARC EMC Corporation

Sunil Brid is the Director of Sales for Isilon at EMC India & SAARC. He is responsible for driving the Isilon business in the region. Sunil is part of the India leadership at EMC.

EMC is an IT industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in products, services, solutions, Technical Marketing and Sales. Sunil became a part of EMC after the acquisition of Isilon in 2010, which he was heading in India.

Sunil has also held several senior positions in technical marketing, sales and general management with other leading corporations including NetApp India Pvt. Ltd, Slicon Graphics and Rolta Intergraph.

Kartik Shahani
Country Manager, India and SAARC, RSA, The Security Division of EMC

Kartik Shahani is Country Manager for RSA, The Security division of EMC. Based in Mumbai, he is responsible for leading RSA's business operations in the region and growing sales of the company's offerings in the area of security solutions for business acceleration.

Kartik came to RSA with an illustrious track record, having held senior positions with McAfee India Sales Pvt. Ltd. and Netmagic. At both companies, he was instrumental in the complete turnaround of their operations.

Kartik also played a key role in setting up the High End Production Systems group at Xerox India. Kartik has worked in various capacities from a Programmer, Field Engineer and Enterprise Sales Manager to grow to the position of a Regional Leader during his distinguished career.

Abhijit Potnis

Ajaz Munsiff

Ajaz Munsiff is the Director of EMC IT Proven program at EMC corporate HQ. EMC IT is on a real transformation journey to Cloud Computing and the EMC IT proven program aims to provide thought leadership and a real-world customer showcase of EMC's industry leading infrastructure products and technology solutions deployed in our global data centers. Ajaz meets and briefs several customers worldwide each quarter on EMC's cloud transformation strategy, and he is a seasoned EMC evangelist regularly speaking at various industry events

Ajaz has been with EMC for 13 years. Prior to joining EMC IT, he was the Director of Marketing for EMC Global Alliances - where he had worldwide responsibility for alliance strategy, marketing programs, external and internal communications, joint marketing events and collateral development.

Ajaz brings over 20 years of technology experience from the Asia Pacific region. He relocated to the U.S. from Singapore in 2008. Previously, Ajaz had served as Director for Products and Solutions Marketing for EMC APJ, responsible for driving EMC's product sales and marketing strategy for the region. That included -understanding market requirements, launching, positioning new products & solutions, and sales enablement.

Pushpendra Kumar Gupta
Senior Director and Chief Architect, Backup Recovery Systems Practice - APJ, EMC

P. K. Gupta has over 28 years of experience in IT Industry. He earned a B. E. in Computer Science in 1985 from MNREC, PGDM from AIMA, and is currently working as Senior Director and Chief Architect, Backup Recovery Systems Practice - Asia Pacific and Japan for EMC. In this role, Pushpendra is responsible for pre-sales, delivery and productivity of the associated products. His experience with EMC spans 15 years, with former stints as Product Marketing Director, Product Management Director, and Director of Engineering.

Prior to his association with EMC, Pushpendra worked in River Run Software Group for more than 7 years, where he was mainly responsible for management of various projects related to LAN Management, Network Management, Storage Management, and Mobile Computing. He managed various on-site projects for IBM and Motorola in the US for 5 years in the area of LAN and Network Management and their applications; and systems management. His past experience also includes working on real-time systems in the Software R&D division of Uptron Control Systems for five years.

Over the past 18 years, Pushpendra has taught as visiting professor in various institutions such as Amity Business School, AIMA, IMT, IEC, and JIMS. He also serves on the international advisory board of several Indian universities. His technical and management articles have appeared in various international magazines; and he has been an international expert speaker on storage management, cloud, big data and disaster recovery. Uresh Vahalia
Corporate Vice-President, Enterprise Storage Division, EMC

Uresh Vahalia is Corporate Vice-President in the Enterprise Storage Division at EMC, where he leads a team spanning US and India which is responsible for building the next generation of storage products for EMC.

Uresh has worked at EMC for seventeen years and in the software industry for twenty five years, focusing mainly on operating system and storage technologies. Uresh was founding team member & VP of Engineering of Celerra, EMC's enterprise and midrange NAS product line. Under his leadership, Celerra started as an incubator project and went on to become the industry leader in NAS market share. Uresh then moved to the CLARiiON organization, where he steered EMC's midrange block array product line through several platform and software releases, and drove its convergence with Celerra. Uresh then moved to the Enterprise Storage Division, where he is responsible for developing new product offerings, in addition to managing the India organization.

Prior to EMC, Uresh held various Engineering positions at Digital, Prime Computers, and other high technology companies. Uresh graduated with a Masters' degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, and also received a Master's in Computer Science at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. Uresh has over thirty patents and research publications in the areas of storage and operating systems and has represented EMC in several industry forums and expert panels including SNIA, IEEE, and the CIFS and NFSv4 working groups. Uresh also is the author of the book "Unix Internals: The New Frontiers", which was published by Prentice-Hall and translated in four languages; it is used as a professional reference and a text in operating systems courses in several leading universities.

Surajit Sen
Country Manager - Backup & Recovery Systems, EMC

Surajit Sen is Country Manager – BRS for EMC in India. He is responsible for growing EMC's Backup & Recovery Systems Business in India & SAARC. In his last assignment he was Director – Channels, Marketing & Alliances for NetApp India, where he was responsible for the Go to Market functions, including Field Marketing, Distribution, Channel strategy and Technology Alliances.

In a career spanning 18 years he has managed various roles in Sales, Sales Management, Product Management, Channel Management and Field Marketing. In the midst of the uncharted Amazon, after losing his three companions, a young Israeli traveller is tested to the extreme through 20 harrowing days of sheer survival. A riveting storyteller, Yossi Ghinsberg relives his ordeal while sweeping audiences into the depths of the primordial jungle.

His first book 'Jungle', based on this incredible adventure, soon became an international bestseller. The Discovery Channel has also recently released a feature length documentary film based on Yossi's story called 'Escape from the Amazon'.

Born and raised in Israel, Yossi served three years in the Israeli Navy on the Red Sea. Following his experiences in the Amazon, Yossi developed a love for the region and set about initiating 'The Chalalan Project'. Chalalan is now one of the most celebrated Eco-Tourism resorts in the Amazon – demonstrating to the world that it is possible to create environmental projects that are both commercially sustainable and engage whole communities into action.

Yossi now travels the planet sharing his messages on vision, hope, survival and the inevitability of change.
