Tarun Sareen

Tarun Sareen, Senior Director, leads the Global Delivery Program of EMC IT organization and runs the EMC IT Center of Excellence, Bangalore. Reporting to Sanjay Mirchandani, EMC’s Chief Information Officer, and Sarv Saravanan, Vice President & Managing Director, India COE, Tarun is responsible for building the IT globalization strategy and processes required for global expansion.
Tarun’s key focus area is to drive and mature end- to- end IT solutions development and delivery, and infrastructure management services towards the organization’s globalization efforts and journey to the private cloud. Tarun engages with EMC IT’s key partners relationships He plays a critical role in building a culture of quality globally for the EMC IT organization.
Tarun’s experience includes building high performance global IT centers, developing and supporting IT solutions for diverse businesses, and developing leaders.
Prior to joining EMC, Tarun led the middleware and e-delivery channels for Barclays. He was responsible for launching Internet and Mobile banking for Barclays' commercial and retail banking customers across all international and emerging markets.
Before Barclays, Tarun was a part of Microsoft IT India leadership team, where he started up and ran multiple business units and COEs in India responsible for delivering IT solutions for Microsoft’s various business groups world-wide.
Prior to Microsoft, Tarun set up and ran the India IT center for General Electric Aircraft Engines delivering to seven business units/COEs and also led six sigma and compliance.

Manoj Chugh is currently the Regional President of Global Accounts for EMC’s Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region. His focus in this role is to drive aggressive expansion of EMC's Global Accounts Program across the APJ region for EMC. As a key leader for EMC in the Indian subcontinent, Manoj also holds the role of a Strategic Business Advisor for India.
Manoj joined EMC in 2003 and was the President of India & SAARC in two separate stints, the last one between August 2009 and October 2011. He spearheaded the company’s growth in the information storage and management space and positioned EMC as the market leader in the Indian subcontinent. Under Manoj’s leadership, EMC committed to invest over USD 500 million in that market by 2010.

An ICT industry veteran with over three decades of experience, Manoj has managed and led companies to leadership positions across diverse business segments including servers, satellite communications, networking and data storage.

Under his leadership, Cisco’s revenues more than tripled and the company was positioned as a market leader across diverse verticals in networking. Manoj has also held several senior positions in business development, sales and general management with other leading corporations including Scientific Atlanta, Wipro Technologies and HCL Group, among others.
During his career, Manoj has achieved several industry accolades – Dataquest‘s recognition of him in January 2010 as among the ten people to have shaped the last decade of the Indian IT industry; “Best IT Man of the year 2001” by the National Foundation of Indian Engineers; Honorary Fellowship of the e-Information Systems, Security and Audit Association (eISSA), among others. He has served as the Chairman of SNIA (Storage Networking Industry Association) India and has also been on the Executive Board of the American Chambers of Commerce in India (AMCHAM) for six years.

Sunil Brid

Sunil Brid is the Director of Sales for Isilon at EMC India & SAARC. He is responsible for driving the Isilon business in the region. Sunil is part of the India leadership at EMC.
EMC is an IT industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in products, services, solutions, Technical Marketing and Sales. Sunil became a part of EMC after the acquisition of Isilon in 2010, which he was heading in India.
Sunil has also held several senior positions in technical marketing, sales and general management with other leading corporations including NetApp India Pvt. Ltd, Slicon Graphics and Rolta Intergraph.
Sunil has done a B.E., Electrical from Mumbai University and senior management program from Indian Institute of Management – Calcutta (IIM-C).
Kartik Shahani

Kartik Shahani is Country Manager for RSA, The Security division of EMC. Based in Mumbai, he is responsible for leading RSA’s business operations in the region and growing sales of the company’s offerings in the area of security solutions for business acceleration.
Kartik came to RSA with an illustrious track record, having held senior positions with McAfee India Sales Pvt. Ltd. and Netmagic. At both companies, he was instrumental in the complete turnaround of their operations.
Kartik also played a key role in setting up the High End Production Systems group at Xerox India. Kartik has worked in various capacities from a Programmer, Field Engineer, Enterprise Sales Manager to grow to the position of a Regional Leader during his distinguished career.
Kartik holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Bombay and an MBA from the University of New England, Australia.

Services portfolio (Consulting, IT Implementation, Managed Services, Training & Certification & Support) through greater customer intimacy.
Prior to EMC Vikas worked with Microsoft India as Group Director – Operator Channel since 2010, leading alliances with Telecom Operators, Phone hardware manufacturers and Datacenter services providers to accomplish share gain for Microsoft in Phone, TV and Windows devices and drive Consumer and Business Cloud services with them. Earlier, since 2005, Vikas lead the Enterprise Services (Microsoft Consulting and Premier Support Services) business in India. During his more than twelve years at Microsoft, he was twice winner (2002 & 2008) of the prestigious Circle of Excellence Award.
Vikas began his career as software developer and systems analyst with Tata Consultancy Services in 1989 and worked on several projects across India and UK. He was also among the founding members for the software consulting, distribution and training start-up, Software Technology Group (STG) between 1994 and 1999.
Vikas holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from BIT, Mesra and is currently based in Gurgaon, where he lives with his family. His hobbies include Reading, movies and dramatics.
Abhijit Potnis

Abijit Potnis is the Head of Presales for India & SAARC region for EMC. He has a rich IT industry experience of over 20 years, spanning the entire gamut of storage technology function including consulting, solutions, pre-sales and global systems. Prior to this he has held senior technical roles in NetApp and CA.
With an application-centric approach to storage solutions, Abhijit has played a key role in architecting some of the most complex implementations in India. He brings with him vital experience for various verticals like finance, telecom, manufacturing, rich media, government, education & research, and High Performance Computing.
David Lim
Mountaineer & Author
David Lim, CSP is best known for leading the landmark 1st Singapore Everest Expedition in 1998 (as well as the second in 2001). Partially disabled from a devastating rare nerve disorder since 1998, his comeback story of overcoming the odds made the cover of the Readers Digest magazine in 2001, and has since been translated into eight languages. He was in management at a publishing house for nearly a decade until 1998.
Since 1999, David has been a sought-after leadership coach, with expertise in negotiation skills, facilitating change, building high performing teams, and creating experiential learning programmes. These add value to any client event or sustainable change initiatives. David has a B.A. in Law from Cambridge University, and a workshop leader with a decade of experience delivering solutions in negotiation, leadership and team skills across 47 cities, and 25 countries.
David’s presentation style is breezy with lots of humour, audience-interactive and backed not only by decades of leadership achievement, but also with the rigour of an understanding of how adults learn. This makes his solutions to a presentation or event programme so very different than just hiring an ‘achiever’ type of speaker who may lack a people-development background.
David is also an Associate Meta-Coach, certified practitioner in Neuro-Semantics and Neuro-Linguistics Programming. David hasn’t given up climbing, and is a veteran of over 60 alpine and expedition ascents around the world, and most recently returned from the Tien Shan ranges in Kyrgyzstan, having climbed three virgin peaks.
David is a CSP(Certified Speaking Professional), the first and only Singaporean to be conferred the highest designation for professionalism and consistent quality by the National Speakers Association and the Global Speakers Federation (GSF). The CSP is an independent audit of five year’s information on the firm’s quality, processes and maturity.

Mandar is with KPIT Cummins for more than 8 years and handled various responsibilities in Information Systems, Information Security, Business Continuity Management and global IT infrastructure and services. Prior to that executive management position, Leonard spent 18 years with EDS, where he focused on European and Asian operations for 12 of those years, ultimately rising to the position of President of Solutions Consulting for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Reporting directly to David Webster, President EMC Asia Pacific & Japan and Geoff Haydon, Chief Operating Officer EMC Asia Pacific & Japan, Par is responsible for technical strategy in Asia Pacific and Japan for EMC's entire product portfolio including Storage, Backup/Recovery/Archiving and Security. Par joined EMC in 2007, with over 24 years of IT experience specializing in online transactional systems, very large data bases, networking, storage technologies and data protection. He is named as inventor on 18 patents pending with the US Patent Office and is a frequent industry speaker on system and storage architecture and large scale commercial systems. Par is based in Singapore.
Prior to joining EMC, Par was the Director Technology Strategy, Data Center Management Group at Symantec and VERITAS, where he also held a number of management roles in the areas of data protection and storage management. Prior to Symantec, Par spent eight years with Sun Microsystems, working with Sun's Global 500 customers and partners, establishing practices for commercial benchmarking and system models for next generation system architectures. Prior to joining Sun Microsystems, Par established himself in the area of SMP kernels, compilers and Enterprise Storage Systems with Data General, which has since been acquired by EMC.
Par represents EMC as a Board Member of the Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA) and sits on several government advisory boards across Asia. The ACCA is the only Asian market focused platform which, as a collaborative forum, allows stakeholders to leverage on opportunities and discuss issues with expertise born of local knowledge.

Wirt is a seasoned technology veteran of more than 27 years, has over 12 years of direct industry experience and knowledge of the Asia Pacific region, and possesses an outstanding track record of creating customer value within this time. Prior to joining EMC in September 2011, Wirt was Senior Vice President and Global Head of Managed Services at Tata Communications. Before Tata Communications, Wirt held several senior management positions at EDS Asia, the last being Vice President and Managing Director of Greater China and Korea holding P&L responsibility and overseeing service delivery and growth programs for the company’s core lines of business.
Additionally, Wirt assumed the role of an independent consultant providing business and IT strategy and M&A consulting, and has worked with capital management firms on investment strategies in China as well as one of the premier software parks in China to develop its positioning and development. Wirt was former board member of China Risk Finance LLC, a privately-held Delaware company focused on credit risk management consulting and services; and Japan Systems, a JASDAQ-listed company focused on systems integration.

Sarv Saravanan is the Corporate Senior Vice President & General Manager of
EMC’s Centers of Excellence in India and Egypt.
With over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, Sarv currently leads EMC’s research and development, global services and business support operations in India & Egypt. The COEs are central to EMCs globalization goals and Sarv is responsible for scaling and evolving the COEs. His mandate is to develop the COEs as world class R&D center, create market connections for EMC to be more relevant with its products in the high growth markets, incubate global service offerings and bring the synergy between the two to maximize the benefits for EMC’s customers worldwide. He is also responsible for EMC’s outsourcing to Indian SI partners.
Sarv joined EMC from Microsoft India. As Managing Director of Microsoft Global Services Center India Pvt Ltd (MGSI, the global delivery organization of Microsoft Services), he was responsible for setting up and growing MGSI to drive global delivery of Microsoft owned consulting and direct services offerings to its customers. MGSI became a significant part of Microsoft Services globally in his time. Sarv was with Microsoft for nearly 10 years where he played several key technical and business leadership roles in various aspects of the business – India Sales, Marketing & Services and Global Services Business Development & Delivery.
Earlier in his career, he held roles in academia, IT product development and Banking IT.
Sarv has a Masters in Computer Sciences and his interests include traveling, golf and community activities.

Melissa is the General Manager for EMC’s Greenplum Division, she is responsible for managing
the sales and operations across Asia Pacific. She joined EMC in 2009 to manage part of the
EMC’s APJ IIG Division sales related to Information Governance and Information Access.
Before joining EMC, Melissa was the Managing Director, Business Objects, Greater China. She
joined Business Objects in 2007, having spent ten years at SSA Global where she held global,
regional and country level roles, each directly and indirectly related to sales management.
During Melissa’s twenty years of experience in the software industry she has held various
positions across sales, pre-sales, services, support, marketing and R&D. She has significant
global experience, having lived and worked in Japan, US, China, Singapore and Australia.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Queensland, and has a CPA

K Ananth Krishnan is an M. Tech. in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Fergusson College, Pune. He joined TCS in February 1988, straight from campus.
Ananth is currently the Chief Technology Officer of TCS and chairs the TCS Corporate Technology Board. He is a member of the TCS Corporate Think-Tank since 1999, and has led several strategic initiatives. He has been a Principal Architect and Lead Consultant in the Architecture and Technology Consulting Practice, and earlier the head of the TCS Systems Management and the Systems Software Group.
He was named in Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2007, and in Infoworld’s Top 25 CTOs in the same year. He was named a Distinguished Alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2009.
He was an invitee to the quarterly management review with the TCS Board (the executive committee of Tata Sons Limited) from April 2000 to March 2004. He has served on several Advisory Boards of software companies as well Industry and academic bodies and Government committees. He has served on the organizing committees of several national and international conferences.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and of the Computer Society of India as well as a member of the Association of Computing Machinery, and serves on the ACM India Council. He has been an invited faculty in the Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Ananth is married, with two children and lives in Chennai. He has formally retired from a successful career in Trivia and Quizzing (which includes the 'Brain of IIT' individual title and two 'Cranium Cup' titles at IIT and several years on the IIT Quiz team), public speaking, crossword puzzle solving and cricket.
